[OOC: NEWS regarding "The Shadow" movie]
Feb. 9th, 2010 11:35 pmLooks like we finally get another bone thrown to Shadow fans concerning the movie that has been in limbo for a few years at this point:
Exclusive: The Shadow Script Review & Director Update
After reading the article, I'm really on the fence. I appreciate the script, and it's attempt to reach out to more general audiences. It could turn out to be a great film, and I have to keep taking my ickle ego as a Shadow fan and reminding myself, that even The Batman franchise made some hard choices about canon.
It's going to have to grow on me honestly, but it sounds like they have The Shadow, and the atmosphere of his world down right. To me, that's where the real grit of the movie will be had. It's the world, and the mystery of The Shadow that draws me to the character. If I can get that much, I think I can learn to like the new Margo, even if she does appear to replace my favorite pulp-story agent, Harry Vincent.
